Before diving into small business ownership, Mike spent 25 successful years in the high-tech industry as a systems engineer. His extensive background in technology provides a unique perspective and innovative approach to managing his sign shop, ensuring seamless operations and cutting-edge solutions for his clients.

Beyond the world of business and technology, Mike is a lifelong recording and performing musician. His dedication to music fuels his creativity, adding an artistic touch to everything he does. Whether he's crafting the perfect sign or crafting the perfect melody, Mike Steczo is committed to excellence in every endeavor.

Introducing Monica Choi-Steczo, a visionary business leader whose 30-year career as a program manager in the high-tech industry has been marked by strategic insights and remarkable achievements. Her keen business acumen and forward-thinking approach were instrumental in guiding both her and her husband, Mike Steczo, into the dynamic realm of small business ownership, focusing on sign manufacturing.

Monica’s exceptional leadership and strategic planning have propelled their ventures to new heights. As they continue to expand their flourishing sign business, she also plays a pivotal role in growing their bar/restaurant and real estate portfolios, embodying an entrepreneurial spirit that drives each endeavor.

When she’s not optimizing business strategies, Monica is nurturing her passion for horticulture, tending to a botanical paradise at home with the same care and precision she applies to her professional life. An avid traveler, Monica’s wanderlust has taken her to over 40 countries, each journey enriching her global perspective and inspiring new ideas.

Alex loves pushing the envelope with the latest technology and brightest colors. He’s our digital signage guru and has a passion for improving customer engagement through technology. Never to be missed, he is sure to impress with ever-changing technicolor hair.

Leveraging his years of signage experience Alex guides his team towards creative and empathetic solutions that go beyond mere order-taking and instead focus on a consultative approach. Always quick with a dad joke for the team, or anyone else who’s willing to listen, Alex loves collecting new humor. Do you have a joke he hasn’t heard yet?

Catalina is the “Lead Cat Herder,” working between each department to ensure everything runs smoothly and nothing in the center catches on fire. Her work covers a variety of operational duties, such as handling scheduling and supply ordering and keeping communication between departments strong. She is passionate about supporting her teammates and finding creative solutions for each project’s needs.

When not working, she enjoys a variety of artistic hobbies, from sewing and illustration to video game development. At home, her work never truly ends as she focuses on herding her two actual cats, Tango and Duo.

Mike is a self-taught graphic designer with over a decade of experience, hailing proudly from the Bay Area. When he’s not crafting jaw-dropping designs, he draws inspiration from his past as a martial arts enthusiast who once bravely faced a demonic war pig spirit (it’s a long story). Armed with creativity and a knack for storytelling, Mike brings a unique blend of humor and style to every project. Whether it’s pixels, memes, or parties, he knows how to make magic happen.

Dulce Palmisano is a multitasking member at FASTSIGNS San Mateo. With many years of experience as a creative designer, her expertise extends beyond design, as she masters in operating our most advanced and capable equipment, ensuring each creation is crafted with precision and flair.

Her multifaceted talents and vibrant personality make Dulce an invaluable asset to our team and a true inspiration to those around her.

Meet Jeff, a member of the FastSigns San Mateo design team with a heart as big as his love for pizza. When he's not crafting compelling visuals, you'll likely find him collecting currency and maps and indulging in his love for sports—rooting for the Oklahoma Sooners and the OKC Thunder.

Beyond the screen, Jeff is an adventurer at heart. Whether it's trying to break 100 on the golf course, bricking threes in a spirited game of basketball, or hiking around the American West, Jeff's energy is as boundless as his creativity. Did we mention he loves pizza?

After a controversial suspension cut short his promising hockey career, former goalie Dennis Carpentier shifted gears and reinvented himself as a graphic designer. Known for his quick reflexes on the ice, Dennis now channels that same sharp focus into creative work, designing everything from sports logos to sleek digital layouts.

His unique perspective, shaped by years of high-stakes competition, has made him a sought-after talent in the design world, proving that even a setback can lead to unexpected success.

Meet Om, the newest dedicated sign-maker and installation team member, who likes climbing and getting opportunities to use tools or new techniques for the job. If you don't see him hanging signs or producing graphics you can find him upcycling clothes for his friends as well as hunting down the best taco truck in town.
