U.S. President John Quincy Adams said, "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." Our CEO Catherine Monson is an excellent example of an amazing leader who inspires and motivates.
With an optimistic attitude and tireless work ethic, she balances her role at FASTSIGNS International, Inc. with volunteering her time to promote and protect the franchise industry. Serving on the International Franchise Association’s (IFA ) Board of Directors and Chair of the Franchisor Forum, Catherine is actively involved in bringing attention to the issues that affect franchising. This includes lobbying elected officials to educate them on the importance of protecting the franchising industry and small business. In September 2014, Catherine and Clint Ehlers, owner of FASTSIGNS® of Willow Grove and Lancaster, PA, were invited to testify before Congress to provide firsthand experience on how the ruling of the National Labor Relation Board’s (NLRB) decision to pursue the McDonald’s® Corporation as a “joint employer” will impact franchise businesses.
FASTSIGNS is very proud of Catherine’s work as our CEO and leader, and for all of the work she continues to do to help protect the future of franchising. A big congratulations to Catherine for receiving thefirst ever “FAN of the Year Award” last week at the IFA Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, for her commitment, dedication and efforts to champion franchise and small businesses locally and nationally through her work with the Franchise Action Network.
