The team at FASTSIGNS partners with Lawrenceville Police Department to raise awareness

(SNELLVILLE, GA) October 17, 2019— FASTSIGNS® of Snellville is using signs and graphics to spread Breast Cancer Awareness. The team recently donated a fully-wrapped pink motorcycle to the Lawrenceville Police Department after current FASTSIGNS customer and Special Operations Officer with the Motor Unit approached franchisee, Eddie MacFarlane, a few months ago with this request.

The police department’s new BMW motorcycle decorated in pink has created quite a conversation piece. The patrolling officer who drives it has been stopped by people asking about the reason for the “pink” bike. In addition to spreading the word one mile at a time, the Lawrenceville Police Dept has also shared it across all their social media channels for great awareness.

“My mother had breast cancer,” said Kareen MacFarlane, franchisee at FASTSIGNS of Snellville. “We had never done a project like this before, and we thought it’d be a great opportunity for us to combine signs and breast cancer awareness. We are happy to serve in our community, and we hope it inspires other business owners to do the same.”

According to the Center for Disease Control, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women regardless of race or ethnicity. To see the motorcycle featured on 11 Alive in Lawrenceville, visit the link here.
